President's Memo
Summer 2014 issue of Trustee
All Library Trustees are welcome at LTA!
We extend a special invitation to those trustees who can sing like Andrea Bocelli or who can’t carry a tune in a bucket. You’re welcome at LTA if you’re “just browsing”, just joined up, or have been a trustee for years. We extend a special invitation to those “of an age” but not grown up yet. We welcome trustee soccer moms, NASCAR dads, artists, tree-huggers, latte-sippers, vegetarians, junk-food eaters. We offer a special welcome to those who think the earth is flat, work too hard, don’t work, can’t spell, or are a trustee because grandma was and you want to carry on the tradition. We welcome the flexible, the inflexible, tolerant, and the intolerant, those who laughed and those who gasped at this welcome. We welcome all seekers of truth, the doubters of the efficiency of our American system … and YOU!
Libraries are too important to be left solely in the hands of a few; we need you all!
